Leadership and Systems Consulting

For Building-Wide Initiatives and Administrators.

  • Consultation for school administrators on system-wide framework implementation (e.g., MTSS-B, UDL, etc)

    Coaching on evidence-based methods and strategies for improved climate and culture 

    Support with system development (e.g., behavioral health teams, meeting rhythms, discipline policies, streamlining ABA services across BCBA’s, etc.)

    Creation of individualized and district-specific recorded trainings (video library) to support staff onboarding, professional development

    Support with determination and execution of appropriateness of out-of-district placements for students

    Guidance with new staff initiatives (e.g., team building, staff behavior change, etc.)

    Training and support with whole building data analysis and synthesis

    Evaluation and recommendations for programs aligned with Tier 3 supports

Clinical Support and Oversight

For BCBA’s and Behavioral Health Staff: 

  • Clinical consultation and coaching for in-house BCBA’s or behavioral health staff (to include but not limited to coaching on behavior responding, skill acquisition programming, data collection and monitoring, assessments, behavior support plans, etc.)

    Review of critical clinical documents for learning opportunities for behavioral staff (e.g., Behavior support plans, written FBA’s, written PFA’s, data analyses, written skills assessments, etc)

    Access to a minimum of 6 BCBA continuing education credits per year to support maintenance of credential

    Coaching support on high-need cases (e.g., problem behavior which is out of staff area of expertise, clients who are not achieving adequate skill acquisition, cases that require an outside/birds eye view or perspective due to political or ethical sensitivity

    Conduct remote observations with staff members to support agreement of plan direction and integrity 

    Presentation coaching; support to behavioral health staff in appropriate and professional presentation of report findings, behavior plans, etc. 

    Remote attendance of meetings when needed

    Mentoring for aspiring BCBA’s to support their efforts toward the BCBA credential

Topics may be modified for administration, behavioral health staff, and school staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, etc.). 

  • Evidence-based Teaching Strategies: Low-cost and low-tech ways to improve engagement and learning

    Classroom Management:  Tweaks and changes to improve the outcomes from your classroom management system

    Understanding Discipline:  why is punishment such a dirty word and why don’t our discipline practices seem to work?

    Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments:  The law requirements and best practice strategies to write an accurate and meaningful FBA.

    Understanding Common Diagnoses:  A look into the behavioral presentations of students with some of the more common diagnoses seen in school districts

    Discrete Trial Training and Natural Environment Teaching:  Teaching methods for use at tier 3  

    Intentional Interactions: How to communicate with challenging communicators

    Dissemination Coaching:  Develop your speaking skills to become more comfortable with ‘front of the room’ opportunities
